Story
Right now, over 1 million people across the South West are living in poverty, while more than 4.6 million tonnes of good-to-eat food is wasted every year across the food industry. That’s enough for over 10 billion meals!
At FareShare South West, we join the dots between food waste and hunger, transforming an environmental problem into social good. How? We work tirelessly to rescue top quality, nutritious food from a future as food waste and share it with people in need, tackling hunger head-on. From homelessness shelters and rehab centres to kids’ breakfast clubs and support groups for older people.
But we can’t do it without you! As the cost-of-living crisis continues, there are still many organisations we’ve yet to reach. Help us stop food from going to waste and get it where it should be – on people’s plates.
