Since 2019, Barnett Waddingham have been partnered with Marie Curie to help provide care and support for people with terminal illness and their families, donating a phenomenal £50,000 since then.
From baking cakes, running marathons and undertaking challenges, Barnett Waddingham colleagues are working to ensure that people across the UK can receive the best support at the end of their life.
Marie Curie is the UK's leading end of life charity, here to support people through all aspects of dying, death and bereavement and to fight for a society where everyone gets to have the best experience possible at the end of their lives.
Marie Curie nurses, hospices and support line officers are on the front line to help people, along with their family and friends, through their final years, months, days and hours of life, whilst their bereavement service is there for loved ones left behind.
Marie Curies researchers push to discover more about what makes a good end of life, and our policy experts and campaigners fight for a society where everyone gets to have the best experience possible at the end of their lives.
Last year, Marie Curie were able to care for over 60,000 people free of charge in their homes and at their hospices, whilst reaching over 2 million more.
How your support helps...
As little as £20 can fund an hour of Marie Curie nursing care for someone with terminal illness in their home.
£32 can pay for a call to the Marie Curie Support Line, meaning someone in need can pick up the phone and receive practical information and emotional support.
£180 will pay for a Marie Curie nurse to look after someone with a terminal illness for a full nine-hour shift.
£400 pays for someone to stay in a Marie Curie hospice for 24 hours, so they can receive the hands-on care they need in their days.
£5,500 will cover the cost of Marie Curies entire nursing service across the UK for one hour.
Thank you so much for your support.
