CSI Birmingham March 2021

CSI Birmingham March 2021 · 24 March 2021
This month we will be supporting Marie Curie and the Great Daffodil Appeal to help ensure that families affected by terminal illness won’t be on their own; they'll have a Marie Curie Nurse alongside them to lighten their load, share their challenges and help them to face what lies ahead.
The Great Daffodil Appeal means even more in 2021 than previous years. Marie Curie Nurses have been on the front line of the pandemic providing vital care for dying people and their loved ones. At the same time, Marie Curie have been unable to fundraise as normal; this essential care provision is supported only by private and corporate donations, making our efforts so meaningful to the lives of so many.
Marie Curie Nurses provide highly skilled care in both hospices and in people’s homes across the UK, day and night:
£20 – pays for one hour of vital nursing care at home for someone living with a terminal illness
£90 – funds half an evening’s care in a person’s home when they need it most
£180 – provides nine hours of nursing support in someone’s home through the night bringing the expert care and comfort families need
£400 – pays for 24 hour stay in a Marie Curie Hospice
£1,250 pays for a portable oxygen system that will relieve distressing symptoms, so a person doesn’t have to be confined to bed.
On Wednesday 31st March we will be holding a Lucky Numbers Raffle.
Lucky Number tickets are £2.00 each. Please ensure you put your name and the number of raffle tickets you would like when you donate.
