Our fantastic team of 10K runners believe the young people of Barnsley borough deserve a safe, supportive and accessible space where they can build confidence, develop skills and be encouraged to reach their full potential.

Base71 Youth Zone gives our 7,500+ young members the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of exciting activities, supported by our amazing youth workers.

Base71 is open seven days a week. Our state-of-the-art sports, well-being, life skills and creative arts facilities and our employability opportunities engage young minds and keeps people coming back.

With at least 20 different activities on offer every night, our members explore new interests, build skills, make friends and crucially feel safe. All for 50p a session.

Our experienced youth workers build trusted relationships with those who need it most – listening, supporting and guiding young people through the challenges they face. This is not about quick fixes. It’s about showing up time and again.
