As we approach a very special time of year, we are taking a moment to reflect on the wonderful sparkling little stars - like Ellis - who we have welcomed through our doors this year.

Ellis started coming to Zoë's Place in 2020, when he was a young baby. Over the last two years, our hospice team have been able to support Ellis, his sisters and his parents.

When a child is diagnosed with complex needs or has a life expectancy which is so much shorter than the average person, life can change dramatically for their family. Caring for a very poorly child is incredibly demanding and it can also be isolating, as the usual childhood experiences can be out of reach for some of our families. At Zoë's Place we offer all-encompassing support and care; helping our children to enjoy their childhood and giving our parents the time to be parents again.

Each year, it costs just under £1.5 million to run our hospice in Liverpool, and we couldn't provide the care that we do without our community behind us.
