Story

Believe Organ Donor Support was set up in December 2015 by Anna Louise Bates, following the passing of her husband Stuey and son Fraser Bear, whose organs and tissues were donated and went on to save at least 4 lives.

We want to provide a space of remembrance and sanctity in honour of those who have donated organs, for loved ones to reflect and remember. This garden is not just for those who have lost a family member, but also for live donors. This garden will have features throughout the garden where you can learn new facts about organ donation, see Welsh landmarks like Castle Coch, statues of animals symbolising our transplant centres around the UK. A place to visit in remembrance and in honour of those who have donated and given the FAB gift of life.

About the charity

The charity was set up by Anna Louise Bates in loving memory of her husband, Stuart and her son, Fraser (Bear) Bates to raise awareness and provide education on the subject of organ donation as well as supporting those impacted via the Fraser fund.
