Beloved missionary secondary school - last lap

The last lap of building the school. We feel like we have been in a marathon, but the finishing line is in sight. Soon we can use all our rooms to give our kids the best we can give them. Can you help us over the line?

Story

The Beloved Missionary school

Built on the Serving Africa Mission base in Accra

, we have been working in this valley for over 30 years , there is very little provision for the people here and our vision has been to provide access to education and with this opportunities to all. It has three units and currently has over 200 children from babies to young adults and 23 staff.

The story so far

The Kindergarten

was the first to open, and is now full of happy laughing children. The Pre school primary was the next unit to open, and has four nicely appointed classrooms. The main school secondary is now open

, and currently has 4 of it many classrooms in operation.

It has another 4 classrooms ready to fit out when our students need them.

Current project :

It’s taken the Beloved Missionary school a long time to get to this point.

For years it was just a hole in the ground. And here’s the great news – the roof is coming!

With its arrival we are approaching the last lap of building the school.

We feel like we have been in a marathon, but the finishing line is in sight. Soon we can use all our rooms to give our kids the best we can give them. Can you help us over the line?

More projects are planned for the future , including space for more classrooms in another part of the base, but for now, this is what we need to complete this current phase.

The Roof - We need just another £1000 to complete

Secure retaining wall - Essential to provide security for the children. Cost - £8500

Electrical supply - To Install - £4500

Classrooms - To fit out and make ready £10000

School principles

The school is state registered and open to all regardless of background or faith, but the emphasis on Christianity, and all parents know this. .

The school is self-funding, and the intention is that every child should be valued and be happy. We place a great emphasis on being a happy school

The work on the base is run by Africans and overseen in UK, we take nothing out and one day will transfer the oversight to the African team
