The Black Door Shop & Giffnock Community Hub - Build Toilet Facilities

We have a community safe place and workshop - the lack of a toilet is making it hard to fully operate. In time this space will be used to assist with isolation & learning life skills.

We collect and supply up to 2 van loads every week of clothes & household items for refugees and asylum seekers. Locally to assist with isolation & learning life skills we have a community safe place and workshop - the lack of a toilet is making it hard to fully operate.

Story

We started the Black Door Shop & Giffnock Community Hub in 2015 where children's clothes & toys are donated and given to members of the community. Today we collect and supply up to two van loads ever week of clothes & household items for asylum seekers and refugees living locally.

We provide local youth organisations the opportunity to help protect the environment through Saturday morning litter picks - earning Saltire Points along the way.

We have created an area where life learning skills can be shared and have a workshop area where items can be repaired. We are all about reuse but the lack of toilet facilities is making it difficult for us to operate fully.

All donations are very much appreciated.
