We operate the local air ambulances for Warwickshire & Northamptonshire and Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, as well as the Children's Air Ambulance across the UK.

Story

The UKs Emergency Services community has come together to promote good health and wellbeing. Were seeking every Fire, Police and Ambulance Service officer, staff member and supporters to join our Blue Light Get Active Challenge starting this January. Get moving, boost your mental and physical wellbeing, and support our national charities who do so much for us.

Our Charity operates as the national Childrens Air Ambulance and the local air ambulance services for Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland.

We do not receive any government funding for either of the services and we rely entirely on donations to raise the money we need for each lifesaving mission.

The Childrens Air Ambulance is an inter-hospital transfer service flying babies and children from one hospital to another for specialist care. We work with 10 NHS paediatric and neonatal retrieval teams across the UK, enabling them to bring their specialist equipment on board to safely transfer their patients from one hospital to another. If a child is too sick to fly then the Childrens Air Ambulance can fly a specialist team directly to them. With our ability to fly approximately four times faster than a land ambulance, we can minimise travel times and the risk for little patients.

Every day of the year, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day. Within minutes they can be on the ground delivering lifesaving care. The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery. We are supported by a Critical Care Car meaning that we can reach those who need us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
