Eva and friends are doing another Pilgrim walk. This time it's the Borders Abbeys Walk - 68 miles over 6 days. When A first connected with Street Connect two years ago, she was facing a long-term battle with alcohol that had impacted her studies, employment, and ability to care for her son. Family relationships had broken down, and things felt unmanageable.

With time and support through our recovery groups, A found her feet again. She began attending regularly, completed an Alpha course, and started to build friendships that encouraged her in her journey.

Today, A is almost one year free from alcohol, studying Health and Social Care, and looking ahead with hope. She's even exploring the possibility of doing an internship with Street Connect to give back and support others walking similar paths.

It's great to see how far A has come — a true testament to what’s possible with the right support, community, and courage.
