Rebecca and myself are walking the Borders Abbeys Walk to raise money for Street Connect. It's 68 miles across 6 days with wild camping. I'm supporting Street Connect because I've seen the way they change lives. They go out to people struggling with addiction, invite them into a warm community and support them - not just with recovery - but also with all the problems that can come with addiction like homelessness and poor mental health. Then when people have got to a good place, they help them rebuild their lives, teaching them job skills - vital to a good future - and life skills - like how to build good relationships, how to manage anger, how to forgive as well as practical stuff like healthy eating, getting enough exercise & managing your bills.
