Visit the charity's profileThe Clock Tower Sanctuary is a day centre in Brighton & Hove for 16-25-year-olds who are homeless or insecurely housed. We provide the practical and emotional support that homeless young people need to move from crisis to stability. At our friendly day-centre, we offer washing and laundry facilities, hot meals, confidence-building activities, Life Skills classes and support with accessing health services, benefits, accommodation, training and work.
We know that no young person chooses to be homeless. They have usually fallen though the net, due to family or relationship breakdown or leaving care. Young people are also disproportionately impacted by a lack of social housing; the high costs of rented accommodation and the effects of welfare reform. Frances Duncan, CEO
Everyone we support has their own unique challenges, hopes and fears. Our frontline team support each individual, providing bespoke support to prevent these young people from becoming part of the long-term homeless population.
In 2019 our day centre was visited by 182 vulnerable 16-25-year olds, who had nowhere else to turn. With your support we hope that we can be there for them, whenever they need us.
2019's fantastic supporters said this about their experience of being on Team CTS:
I'm so glad I could have helped in some way. I loved the run and the atmosphere was immense, slightly stiff this week but worth it! Scarlett Jinman
Such a fab weekend, and a pleasure to ride for you! Andrina Kelly
I'm really passionate about this charity as I was estranged when I was 16 so I feel the work you do is absolutely brilliant really gives young, vulnerable adults a light at the end of the tunnel. The feeling of achievement crossing that finish line was something else too, I had never done anything like it before, the adrenaline and self accomplishment is something I'd not felt in my lifetime.
