CHUMS is a Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing Service for children, young people & adults in Bedfordshire. We support those who have been bereaved, traumatised or suffer with other mental health difficulties. With the right support we can help build resilience and give them hope for the future.

Story

This service has supported hundreds of adults and children from the very early days following a devasting bereavement by suicide. We stay beside those bereaved as they place one foot in front of another as they start their long and painful journey.

CHUMS supports all those who have been impacted in any way by a suicide including close family and friends, the school or workplace they belonged to, but also beyond - to any person that was part of their life. This now also includes being a witness to the suicide or first responders that are there to do their jobs.

Our emotional and practical support is made possible by the kind donations and grants that we receive and the partnership working with the Police, Coroners and other professionals.

CHUMS wants to be there for all those who may one day need us in Bedfordshire and Luton, but also to carry on supporting all of those already in need of our support.

PLEASE help CHUMS to stay at the forefront of suicide bereavement support and to raise awareness of suicide prevention in all our communities.
