Story
Trinity Winchester is a local charity supporting people experiencing homelessness and domestic abuse in Winchester through our direct access drop-in near the city centre.
Our mission is to prevent homelessness and domestic abuse, supporting over 684 people each year, including 163 accessing our Women’s Services. Providing all our services costs £1,922 per day, much of which is raised through events like Trinity’s Big Sleep Out and generous individual donations. Every pound counts, helping us provide vital support to our Winchester community.
Join us on Friday 19th June 2026 for an eye-opening night spent sleeping outside in cardboard shelters. Enjoy local entertainment, delicious food, and craft activities before taking on the challenge of sleeping out. From 10pm, we bed down in our homemade shelters to raise vital funds and awareness for Trinity’s work with vulnerable people in Winchester.
With your support, we can continue to provide 50–70 daily meals, physical and mental healthcare, accommodation, addiction recovery groups, learning and support programs, and specialist counselling to those in need.
The video below is a personal story from one of our clients, watch to hear the value of our work first-hand.

Your participation and donations make a real difference — helping us give hope, safety, and opportunity to people when they need it most.
This event is not an experience of being homeless. We cannot imagine the realities of sleeping rough every night. We will return to the comfort of our homes the following morning, which is not an option for thousands of people. This event is an interesting way to raise vital funds, whilst having a challenging night.
