Story
Some 25 years ago I moved to Winchester and this has been the happiest time of my life. Winchester has given me so much it feels only fair that I should take the opportunity of my 80th birthday to acknowledge my gratitude and make some gesture, however modest, to repay my debt.
As many of you may know, I have for many years volunteered at Trinity, the charity for the homeless and rough sleepers in Winchester.
Incidentally Trinity is having their 40th birthday this year so it can be a double birthday celebration.
Trinity's annual major fundraising event is the Big Sleep Out which is being held on Friday 19th June. I will be sleeping out that night and raising as much money as I can for this very deserving cause.
Can I ask you to donate to my Just Giving page, to provide help for the homeless and domestic abuse victims in Winchester?
Thank you so much, Gerry
