Charity Walk for BUDS UK on September 15th, 2024 - Join Us in Making a Difference

We warmly invite you to join us for a special event that blends the beauty of London with a meaningful cause. On September 15th, we are organising a charity walk in support of BUDS UK (Batticaloa Underprivileged Development Society - UK), and we need your help to make it a success.

Event Details:

9:00 AM: Meet at Tower Bridge (opposite the Hilton Hotel)

12:00 PM: Arrive at Westminster Abbey

We will walk along the scenic Thames River, from Tower Bridge to Westminster Abbey, taking in the stunning views of London's iconic landmarks. This walk is more than just a leisurely stroll; it’s an opportunity to make a tangible difference.

Why Your Support Matters:

BUDS UK is dedicated to transforming the lives of underprivileged communities in the eastern part of Sri Lankan town, Batticaloa and its surrounding areas. Your generous donations will help us:

Foster Care Project: Support at least 20 deserving students through their educational journey, from school to university, covering expenses and necessary support.

Hindu College Hostel: Provide 20 selected students from low-income families with three meals a day and crucial after-school classes for A-level and O-level exams.

Annaipanthi Girls High School Hostel: Establish a similar hostel as requested by the Provincial Director of Education, following the successful model at Hindu College.

Affordable Housing: Continue building homes, having already completed various stages for seven homes, ensuring families in need have a safe place to live.

After-School Classes: Support A-level and O-level students at Carmel Fatima College, Kalmunai, and Hindu College, helping them achieve their full potential.

Livelihood Project: Sustain the ongoing livelihood initiatives, such as maintaining poultry and other essential projects.
