Dear Friends, Families, and Supporters,

It's the time of the year and again I am reaching out to you all for your support to continue our work through BUDS Charity.

This year BUDS is supporting Carmel Fatima College, Kalmunai (CFCK), which also happens to be the school where I was convent-educated. As you would know BUDS with all the projects they are currently involved in, try to support a school from the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka, each year, to raise funds for the development of that particular school. This year BUDS has chosen CFCK and I am so glad that I can play a small part in supporting both BUDS-UK and my school Carmel Fatima College, where I spent most of my school life.

In recent years, our school has faced significant challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic and economic crisis have led to numerous cancellations of examinations and disruptions to the continuity of education. Many students are struggling to catch up, and while some families can afford additional classes outside of school, others cannot. This disparity has created an urgent need for support.

We all do better when communities across the country have what they need to thrive. At BUDS, we strive to reach the families and individuals who have been marginalised or excluded from other support services.

BUDS support Higher Education for Students from Foster Care, low cost housing projects, hostel projects for underprivileged students and so on.
