At Camp Watchaug, summer is a time for swimming, exploring the outdoors, making new friends, and building confidence that lasts long after the season ends. For many children, camp is the highlight of their year and a place where they truly feel they belong.

But for hundreds of local families, a summer at camp is only possible because of financial assistance. In 2025, 20% of campers relied on support through the YMCA’s YCares program to attend Camp Watchaug.
