At Camp Watchaug, summer is a time for swimming, canoeing, climbing, and making friends who feel like family. It’s a place where children try new things, build confidence, and discover what they’re capable of.

For many families, this experience is only possible because of financial assistance. Through the YMCA’s YCares program, generous donors help remove financial barriers so every child has the chance to attend camp.

Last summer, 20% of campers at Camp Watchaug relied on this support. That means hundreds of children were able to spend their days outdoors, learning new skills, forming friendships, and creating memories that last long after summer ends.
