Story
After an amazing 2025 campaign raising vital funds for the team, the CARE team runners are back... pounding the pavement around Birmingham as they take on the Great Birmingham Run on the 3rd May 2026!
Despite their vital role, many people are unaware that the CARE Team operates as a charity, relying solely on donations and fundraising efforts to continue their life-saving work. Unlike other emergency services, the CARE Team does not receive NHS or government funding. This means that every piece of specialist equipment, every training session, and every call-out is funded by the generosity of people like you.
Our volunteers are passionate about making a difference. They donate their time and expertise to ensure that our community receives the highest standard of care. To further support our mission, some of our dedicated volunteers will also be participating in the Great Birmingham Run on the 3rd May 2026. Their commitment to both the race and our cause highlights the extraordinary lengths they go to in order to support our community.'
The Great Birmingham Run has become especially important to our team, as this event is one of the many ways in which we honour the memory and dedication of our friend and colleague Dr Charlie Crook.
Charlie was instrumental in organising the CARE team runners, we all miss her very much and will be thinking of her as we take on this challenge.
