Story
4 million children in the UK are growing up in poverty.
That’s more than one in 4 children missing out on the things many of us take for granted, from having enough food and warm clothes to taking part in school trips and activities with friends.
[It] feels like I’m left out of the fun that happens and stuff. Like it just makes me feel empty.’ Gideon, age 14
The Child Poverty Action Walk will take place from the 5th-18th of October, during Challenge Poverty Weeks in Scotland, England and Wales, when organisations and communities come together to raise awareness of poverty and call for change.
Our goal is to reach 4 million steps together, one for every child currently growing up in poverty in the UK today.
By taking part, you can help put child poverty in the spotlight and raise vital funds for the fight to end it.
