Story
Whether you were born with a cleft or care about someone who was, you’ll know that the journey can bring both challenges and moments of real strength. This Cleft Lip and Palate Awareness Week, we invite you to reflect on how far you’ve come, celebrate your progress, and share your story to help others better understand a condition that affects around 1,200 families across the UK every year.
The work of CLAPA in supporting children, adults, and families relies on the kindness and generosity of the cleft community. By combining awareness-raising with fundraising, you can help create a lasting impact for those who need it most.
However you choose to get involved, every effort makes a difference. You might host a “Cuppa for CLAPA” with a coffee morning or bake sale, take part in “Wear it Blue” at work, school, or college, or come up with your own creative way to show support.
