Story
Athletic Minds Foundation is a charity, supporting those facing mental health challenges. We offer a range of therapies, activities, interventions and programmes, tailored to meet the individual and their specific needs.
Our life-changing 8 Week Mental Wellness Programme is the first of its kind and offers beneficiaries access to psycho-education, intensive therapy, personal training and nutrition advice, peer support and the tools and knowledge needed to lead a happy and healthy life.
We also offer a free counselling service, allowing us to provide timely intervention for those in crisis.
Our Wellness Centre offers a range of activities to improve mental wellbeing including yoga, soundbaths, meditation, boxercise, art classes, as well as many others.
We run walk and talk groups, a running club and peer support sessions.
All of our services are free at the point of access, meaning financial circumstances pose no barrier to people accessing our support.
The current economic climate and the cost of living crisis means that fundraising for our services is more challenging than ever and we are desperately seeking support to continue with our life saving work. Demand for our services has never been higher and people are losing their lives whilst finding themselves stuck on waiting lists for public services.
We need your support more than ever before.
Join us as we take on ROKTFACE, the UK's highest man-made outdoor climbing wall! Higher than both the Tower of London, and the Angel of the North, we're inviting people to join us for an exhilarating climb to help raise funds for mental health.
To take part - we're asking for a donation of just £15.00 - for which you can climb as many times as you like, or feel able to! We're also encouraging participants to set up their own fundraising pages and raise sponsorship to support our work.
We're aiming to scale the wall 50 times, which is the equivalent of climbing the total height of Scammonden Steps 5 times. This is where our charity began and a known suicide spot. We want to raise awareness as well as some much needed funds.
