The Community Garden was developed to create a space for all the community to use, especially those who were feeling lonely or isolated. It is a welcoming outdoor space to relax in.

Not long ago the garden was just grass and no more, but with a lot of hard work, and some kind donations so far, it has already been transformed into a place where people can sit and spend time, meeting new people and getting involved in growing vegetables, fruits and herbs. The Community Garden is an integral part of our Befriending Project which sees people from all over the Community come together in a space where they feel safe and welcomed, with a view to combatting loneliness and isolation.

We would also absolutely love to create a space for everyone to enjoy by adding a Summer Gazebo to host events in the Summer and for groups to enjoy throughout the year. We would also like to use the donations we receive to buy gardening tools to help our Gardening Heroes tend to the fruits and vegetables - everything grown in the garden will be donated back into the Community
