The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileNearly one million people in the UK will spend Christmas day alone, according to reports. Company at Christmas was set up as our local response to help combat that in the Aberdare, St Fagan parish. Launched in 2015, it has provided an important link with those in our community who are on their own on such a joyous day. In 2020, with the pandemic preventing us from meeting Company at Christmas became Connecting at Christmas and we delivered Bags of Joy to both those who would have been our Christmas guests, and to vulnerable families in the Cynon Valley. From the Connecting at Christmas project, the needs of vulnerable families were highlighted to us. Subsequently, we have been supporting these families all year with regular food deliveries, that have been so needed. Company at Christmas will happen this year at St Johns School, to allow us more room to be safe for both our volunteers and our guests. We also intend to help those vulnerable families that we have supported, by supplying them with Christmas hampers to help make the festive season better. How can you help. we are trying to raise some funds to help both of these causes and support our community. We would be grateful for anything that you can give, and we can assure you that every penny will be spent in making Christmas 2021 a good one for those on their own, and those families who would find the festive season, challenging.
Thank you for your support from Father Richard Green and all the volunteers at Aberdare, St Fagans.
