Story
This year Cosmic are celebrating 15 years of World Prematurity Day with the Cosmic Fifteen Challenge to raise vital funds and support babies and children in intensive care at St Mary's and Queen Charlotte's Hospitals.
Cosmic is the charity that supports the children's and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington and Queen Charlotte's Hospital, Hammersmith. We help our patients and their families, and enable our dedicated team of nurses and doctors to treat hundreds of babies and children in intensive care.
We go above and beyond what the NHS can afford, purchasing vital state of the art equipment, providing training for health professionals and supporting families through one of the most difficult times in their life with one to one support, advice, counselling, and accommodation. We also fund a programme of groundbreaking research into life-threatening diseases.
Anyone can take on the Cosmic Fifteen Challenge - all you need to do is dream up your challenge based on the number 15 that suits your skills and complete it in the week leading up to World Prematurity Day. You could do something as simple as pledging to run, walk, or ride 1.5 miles a day, complete 15 laps of your garden or local park everyday, or start knitting for 15 minutes a day!
Take the challenge from wherever you like - you can do the challenge at home, in your garden or local park, at school with your friends, or at work with your colleagues! The main thing is to have fun and pledge whatever you can to fundraise in the lead up to World Prematurity Day for Cosmic who support babies and children in intensive care.
The Cosmic Fifteen Challenge will start on Monday 13th November and end on Sunday 19th November 2023.
If you have any questions, need advice or help on fundraising, please don't hesitate to get in touch on info@cosmiccharity.org.uk.
