Story
I'm taking part in the Cosmic Fifteen Challenge to help raise vital funds for Cosmic who support babies and children in intensive care at St Mary's and Queen Charlotte's Hospitals.
Having been a direct recipient of their amazing work at St Mary's exactly 15 years ago, I am passionate about supporting this incredible service. 24 hour nurse care, specialist equipment, advice, parent facilities, follow-up baby massages group, the team was fabulous and made a challenging time so much easier.
For my Cosmic Fifteen Challenge I will be baking 15 sets of cream teas, running 15 minutes for each set sold, and match-funding the donations.
Cosmic is the charity that supports the children's and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington and Queen Charlotte's Hospital, Hammersmith. We help our patients and their families, and enable our dedicated team of nurses and doctors to treat hundreds of babies and children in intensive care.
We go above and beyond what the NHS can afford, purchasing vital state of the art equipment, providing training for health professionals and supporting families through one of the most difficult times in their life with one to one support, advice, counselling and accommodation. We also fund a programme of groundbreaking research into life-threatening diseases.
