Join us to raise vital funds for the Emergency and Critical Care Appeal at Dorset County Hospital. Here is Amanda and Laura’s story from last year:
In February 2024 we unexpectedly found ourselves spending hours with our dad in the Critical Care Unit at DCH and we couldn’t be more grateful to the staff for making his final few days as comfortable as they could be. The empathy and care shown were heartwarming, thank you.
They laced up their walking boots and joined the DCH team
as we couldn’t have asked for better care for our dad in his final days”.
Our £2.5M appeal is funding significant enhancements to the new Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit, including:
* a Critical Care paediatric bed space
* patient garden
* medical equipment
* staff rest and welfare facilities and
* art for both departments
These additional facilities will help make patient care even better, improve facilities for our staff and create a sympathetic and healing environment for the benefit of all.
We now have a unique opportunity to create something truly amazing which will be of lasting benefit to the communities served by our hospital. These new bespoke units will transform the experience of patients, their families and staff in Emergency and Critical Care at Dorset County Hospital, now and into the future.
This unique challenge is not just about physical endurance and fun; it's about coming together as a community, united by a shared goal of providing exceptional care to those who need it most.
Join us in this journey towards providing exceptional care to those who need it most and and make a difference that resonates far beyond the finish line.
