Friendsgiving Campaign 2024

Thanksgiving is a time of joyful celebration, yet also a time of reflection. As Thanksgiving approaches, this is the time to reflect with gratitude on the blessings and bounty that we have received.

Dear friends and family,
Please join me in celebrating and supporting Friendsgiving this year at Dolores Mission.
Dolores Mission School is not your average Catholic School. It is a TK-8 school committed to serving low-income families. DMS currently serves 200 children, and together with family, strive to educate the whole child in a nurturing environment: academically, spiritually, physically, and morally. As an integral part of a Jesuit parish, its goal is to empower our children to break generational cycles of poverty and violence by becoming educated leaders in their community, “women and men for and with others.”
Dolores Mission is known for its prophetic ministry among former gang members and its work promoting social justice on local, national, and global issues. Through the years, various grassroots non-profit organizations have sprouted and grown from this small parish with a big heart, including Homeboy Industries and Proyecto Pastoral at Dolores Mission.
Thanksgiving is a time of joyful celebration, yet also a time of reflection. As Thanksgiving approaches, this is the time to reflect with gratitude on the blessings and bounty that we have received. I hope you will join me in Friendsgiving this Holiday Season.
