DocBike was created in Dorset as a result of attending seriously injured motorcyclists on the air ambulance and seeing the devastation that a serious bike crash has on the rider and their family & friends.
DocBike works tirelessly to keep bikers on two wheels. As far as we know, we're the only charity in the world dedicated solely to this.
We do this by:
- Putting air ambulance critical care doctors and paramedics onto response motorcycles to help anyone who needs critical care, not just motorcyclists (watch a video on how we do this here)
- Running FREE BikerDown courses, teaching members of the public how they can realistically keep an injured motorcyclist alive until the emergency services get there. Watch our MCN video on BikerDown here
- Using our knowledge and experience of why motorcycle crashes happen to give motorcyclists the skills and knowledge to prevent them from being involved in a crash in the future - regardless of who is at fault. Read our handy guide on how to avoid being in a crash here.
Your help to raise funds for the work of the DocBike charity not only helps us to keep the bikes on the roads and run more BikerDown courses, but it helps us to push the charity out across the UK to be able to make a real difference.
