The Down Syndrome Training & Support Service is celebrating it's 25 year anniversary in 2025 but is facing a daunting future. Funding, donations and fundraising were all down in 2024 meaning the charity is currently running at a deficit.

The charity has had to make some tough decisions to cut costs. Staff contracts have been reduced, the centre is now closed every Friday and services have been reduced.

We need help to increase income and continue to provide support to children and young people with Down syndrome, their families and the professionals who work with them across education, health and social care.

Early intervention, training for schools and health workers and social opportunities to develop life skills are vital if we are to improve the education, development and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and work towards a brighter future.
