In our fast-paced tech-driven world, engaging our children with the latest technology for their learning is key. This Ramadān, our goal is to fund 13 smart, interactive touchscreens for our pupils. This will cost a total of £40,000 and any excess funds raised will be used to further fund innovative, relevant, resources to bring the vision for Darul Ummah Academy and Jamitaul Ummah School to life.

Darul Ummah Academy is Da'watul Islam UK & Eire Limited’s new educational project which brings together all its out-of-ours educational projects under one umbrella. It aims to provide a balanced curriculum comprised of Islamic values and real life skills. It incorporates extra-curricular activities to make learning fun and interactive.

We strongly believe that learning inside a classroom should be practical, relevant, hands-on and active. Research proves that the use of technology within a classroom, including interactive whiteboards, allows for the use of innovative, active and hands-on teaching methods, improves classroom interaction, increases students’ knowledge retention and attention span, overall, heightening student engagement and making learning enjoyable and memorable.

Whilst all our classrooms have dedicated interactive whiteboards, they are outdated and difficult to maintain. We yearn for our children to develop a love for Islām and learning through the teaching we provide. We wish for them to remember the days spent in madrasah during their childhood with fondness and positivity. We aspire to create an environment where learning is brought to life and our children engage in new, immersive learning experiences through the use of the latest technology.
