We are a small community group, Dunshalt Community Association, and we are currently fundraising to put in a new Play Park after our old one was removed due to safety issues at the start of 2023. The project costs are coming in at £135,000 for the new park. We have been working on this project for the last couple of years including doing consultations to find out what our village would like to see in a new playpark through to applying for various grants to help pay for the park which has to be self funded by the village. With less than 300 residents we have done well to secure a large chunk of the funding from various places and we now have to raise the final £3,000 required to get our new Play Park installed this year. We have to reach the £3,000 target by the end of April in order for one of the grants we have secured to pay out so this fundraising target is crucial to the children of Dunshalt being able to have a safe and fun space to play in again.
