East Kent Mencap supports children, young people, and adults with a learning disability to live independent, fulfilled, and connected lives across East Kent. We believe everyone deserves the same chances to live, work, and belong in their community. Every day, we provide practical, person-centred support, from housing and life-skills training to employment guidance, creative sessions, and community activities. Our staff and volunteers work alongside each person to build confidence, develop friendships, and achieve personal goals. We also support families and carers, helping them feel less isolated and better equipped to support their loved ones. Together, we create opportunities that reduce loneliness, increase independence, and celebrate each individual’s strengths. Your support helps us reach more people, provide vital services, and create inclusive spaces where everyone is valued and respected. With your help, we can continue to change lives and make East Kent a place where people with a learning disability are recognised, included, and able to live the lives they choose.

This Christmas, East Kent Mencap is hoping to raise £1,000 to help make the festive season special for people with a learning disability across East Kent.

Throughout the year, we support people with a learning disability to build confidence, develop skills, make friends and be part of their local communities. At Christmas, we want to create extra opportunities for people with a learning disability.

Your donation could help fund celebrations, activities, events, gifts, treats, and opportunities for members to enjoy throughout the year.

Every donation will make a difference. Whether you give £5, £10, £20 or more, you’ll be helping us get closer to our £1,000 target and bring some extra joy to members across East Kent.
