The Empower Her Campaign by Islamic Relief is a global movement dedicated to uplifting women through sustainable livelihood projects. This year, your support will help empower women in Ethiopia and Jordan, creating lasting change where it is needed most. Our mission is simple yet powerful: empower women, uplift families, and strengthen communities.

Why This Campaign Matters

Around the world, millions of women face economic hardship, limited opportunities, and systemic barriers to independence. Empower Her is changing that by providing:

✅ Enabling 40 widowed mothers to build viable home-based businesses or expand home based businesses to chieve long-term financial independence.

✅ Sustainable projects in Ethiopia by providing tools, seeds and tools for farming, supporting them to earn a living allowing for a more stable for 320 individuals and 15 youth over 12 months.

Meet Zainab: A Story of Transformation

Zainab’s story is one of great resilience and determination. Living in Northern Jordan with her mother, 85 who had one of her legs amputated and requiring constant care, and sisters who require care and support, meant that Zainab had to leave her job due to proximity and provide full time care to her mother. With the support of Islamic Relief, Zainab was able to submit her business idea and bring to life her grocery caravan. Today the business provides Zainab with an income, giving her stability, dignity, and hope for growth and the ability to stay close to home to support her mother and family.
