Take on the dizzying heights of Ipswich Hospital's Tower!

The Extreme Abseil, is back and we want you to take on the challenge! Face your fears to create a calm space for lasting memories.

We’re challenging participants to take one brave step to create a dedicated, peaceful space for when time truly matters, for our patients facing end-of-life, and their loved ones. This June take on Ipswich Hospital's Tower to fundraise for Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity's Time Garden Appeal.

Take in unbelievable views across Ipswich that very few people are able to experience.

The day is split into 30 minute timeslots, and with two ropes going down the tower, it’s the perfect challenge to take on with a friend or your team!

Run by the exceptionally experienced Dave Talbot Ltd., our Extreme Abseil is an adrenaline-filled adventure you won’t forget.

We would love for your fundraising to support Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity's Time Garden Appeal helping us build a calm and peaceful space for end-of-life patients and their loved ones, for when time truly matters. Alternatively, you can choose to fundraise for one of our other appeals: Butterfly Appeal, Cancer Wellbeing, Staff Wellbeing or for the ward or department within our services closest to your heart. Time: Pick a slot from 9am

Location: Ipswich Hospital's Tower, Heath Road, Ipswich, IP4 5PD

Drop: 135 feet! (41 metres)

Age: 12 years and over (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event)

Entry Fee: £40 per person

Entry Fee Includes: Free event parking, abseil training session on the day, safety equipment, and completion memento. 

Fundraising target for Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity: We would love for you to raise as much as possible, however the fundraising target is set at £150. Your fundraising makes a vital difference.

£20 could help fund the purchase of new plants and flowers, adding colour, scent and life into the garden

£50 could go towards the cost of comfortable outdoor seating, giving families a calm place to sit together in peace.

£100 could help to pay for accessibility features and garden materials, helping us make the space welcoming and safe
