A team of cyclists are gearing up to tackle an enjoyable 79km ride through the steep hills and winding countryside of Sevenoaks, all in support of older people across Kent who struggle with loneliness and isolation. The funds they raise will go directly to improving the well-being and confidence of these individuals, equally supporting the vital work of two remarkable charities: Compaid and Re-engage.

Compaid – A charity supporting older and vulnerable people across Kent by providing essential services aimed at enhancing independence and reducing isolation. They offer accessible door-to-door transport, enabling safe travel to medical appointments, shopping, and social events. Additionally, their digital skills training, delivered in a dedicated centre in Paddock Wood and out in the community, helps individuals stay connected and access online information and services. These services collectively improve quality of life and promote greater independence for those in need.
Re-engage - A charity committed to helping make life less lonely for thousands of older people every year; providing life-enhancing social connections for older people at a time in their lives when their social circles are diminishing. Re-engage relieves loneliness and isolation through volunteer-led activities by making individuals happier and more able to trust others. Activities include monthly tea parties, companion calls and activity groups, and are all free to older people.
