Story

FCR helped me get safe - from changing the locks to connecting me to resources I needed for my child and myself, and working with the counselors - they showed us that there is hope to get through the difficult times and things will be better - Julianna

Please join us on October 17, 2026, for Family and Community Resources’ (FCR) Annual Walk for Survivor Safety & Community Cultural Fair!

This beloved community event brings together supporters, local businesses, and families to raise critical funds and awareness for survivors of domestic violence.

Domestic violence survivors face tremendous obstacles when seeking safety. Abuse often creates physical, emotional, financial, and social barriers that make leaving an abusive relationship incredibly difficult. In fact, survivors often make 7 attempts to leave before they are able to do so permanently. These efforts require extraordinary courage, as the period when a survivor leaves or attempts to leave is often the most dangerous time in an abusive relationship. During these critical moments, FCR's advocates provide safety planning, crisis intervention, housing support, and compassionate guidance to help survivors build safer futures.

We hope you will join us. Together, we can help more survivors take steps toward safety, healing, and independence!
