Story

For the last two years Home-Start in Suffolk have run the February Fitness Challenge in 2021 raising a total of £5041.99 and in 2022 raising a total of £4000.98. We'd absoluetly LOVE to smash through these targets in 2023!

This new year of 2023 we want this 'February Challenge' to be more inclusive for everybody so we are moving away from the area of fitness and into a broader spectrum of personal challenges. This fundraiser will now be named the 'February Charity Challenge' for Home-Start in Suffolk with each participant choosing their own challenge for the month February but this time it does not have to fit into the category of fitness (unless you wish to carry on with your fitness targets of course!).

Examples of challenges you could set for yourself during the month of February

1) Create your own fitness challenge with a mixture of your usual activities, for example last year Kate from Woodbridge Landscapes set her own triathlon targets with swimming, rowing and walking.

2) Get your work colleagues involved and create a work team or competing work teams within your work place, for example we had Persimmon Homes create an overall work target of distance ran between the team back in 2021.

3) Create a family target for all ages like walking 10km between you and your little ones each week or every time you go to the park you can set a target number of steps for your little ones.

4) Read 10 books during the 28 days of February

5) Practise yoga for 30 minutes every day

6) Download a new language audio book and complete this by February 28th

7) Download a meditation app and complete every day for the month

8) Drink 3 litres of water per day (or 4 litres!)

9) Set your fitness watch to your own steps or distance daily target & hit this target every day

10) Paint or draw everydayits good for the soul!

11) Journal in a diary daily and set goals for the following day keep on top of the calendar for a month!

12) Sort your finances out! Give yourself the month of February to calculate your income and outgoings and give them a real overhaul to see how much you could potentially save per month.

13) A good old fashioned run 5k per day!

14) :Learn a new musical instrument and practise daily

15) A weekly act of kindness
