In 2009 when Jemma's sister, Jen died, it was a huge struggle to find any support in Scunthorpe for Jen's children, highlighting the huge gap for bereaved services locally. Through this experience and through a passion to change this, Jen's Special Place has aims to bridge that gap and has provided support to bereaved families in the form of social groups and events since 2014.

We are a small team of dedicated volunteers who have big ambitions, and as we continue to grow, we need your support more than ever. We support children who have been bereaved from ages 2-17yrs and have currently supported over 100 children who have been bereaved through suicide, sudden death and illness.

Donations raised will help fund:

1.Trips and workshop events 2. Craft materials and games 3.Training and welcome packs for new volunteers 4.Marketing materials to help reach more families 5. It will also help us fund increased room hire and storage costs
