In 2009 when Jemma's sister, Jen died, it was a huge struggle to find any support in Scunthorpe for Jen's children, highlighting the huge gap for bereaved services locally. Through this experience and through a passion to change this, Jen's Special Place aims to bridge that gap and has provided support to bereaved families in the form of social groups and events since 2014.
