From 25th – 27th August a group of hikers will take part in a demanding expedition pitting themsleves against some of the highest mountains Ireland has to offer!

Visit the charity's profileFrom 25th – 27th August a group of hikers will take part in a demanding expedition pitting themselves against some of the highest mountains Ireland has to offer. Specifically the highest mountain in each of Ireland's 4 provinces:
Friday 25th August - Mweelrea, Co. Mayo, Connacht ( 814m )
Saturday 26th August - Carrauntoohil, Co. Kerry, Munster ( 1038m )
Sunday 27th August - Lugnaquilla, Co. Wicklow, Leinster ( 925m )
Sunday 27th August - Slieve Donard, Co. Down, Ulster ( 850m )
Fundraising from this event will help ensure the continued effort of Friends of Africa in working with young people in Ireland and their partner countries in Africa, providing personal and social development opportunities. Thinking globally and acting locally underpins FOA's work in creating a more just and equal world.
