The Ferry Project is here to help single adult homeless people in Fenland - not simply to provide accommodation, but to give them the skills they need to live independently. Since our beginning in 1988, we have supported over 3000 homeless people.

Story

MODEL SIGN-UP IS NOW CLOSED

Please do not create a Fundraising Page if you haven't already done so, as you won't be able to participate - all model spaces are now FULL.

However, you can still sponsor a model.

In Brief

Models who sign up agree to:

- Raise funds for Ferry Project

- Model some clothing and walk down the catwalk at the Fashion Show event on the evening of Thursday 26th March 2026, 6:30pm at the Queen Mary Centre in Wisbech

- There will be opportunity to test out walking on the catwalk on the afternoon of the event, or an hour before it starts.

- Models can wear their own clothing, although we do have some clothing models can borrow if needed. We will be sending models the themes for their clothing (eg. work wear, or sports wear, or evening wear etc) nearer the time.

- Agree to have their photograph taken at the event and for it to be used on Ferry Project and Queen Mary Centre websites and social media, print media and for it to be provided to the press (ie. local newspapers).

Businesses can put forward models to represent their business at the event and get a mention during the ceremony.

Funds raised will go towards helping the homeless.

In Detail

The Ferry Project works with those experiencing homelessness and helps them move towards independent living with love and support - changing lives, bringing hope and giving a fresh start in life.

Volunteers (or ‘Fundraisers’) can sign up on JustGiving. They will be our ‘models’ for the event (all genders welcome). No experience necessary. We are hoping to offer some 'model coaching' nearer to the event and will let those who have signed up know about this as the date approaches.

Our volunteer models will also be asking their friends, family and colleagues to sponsor them by donating to the cause on their unique JustGiving page to ‘brave the catwalk’ on Thursday 26th March 2026, at 6:30pm, in the Queen Mary Centre, Wisbech (more details to follow).

If modeling is not your thing, you can still get involved by sponsoring a model, or by buying a ticket and coming along to enjoy the evening and support your friend. These will be sold separately to the sponsorship donations and will be available from Eventbrite, starting at £5 (up to £7.50) and will include canapes and drinks upon arrival.

If you are a business and you would like to sponsor a colleague to walk the catwalk, we are happy to display your business’s logo on the screen and give you a mention when introducing your colleague to thank you for your support.

All money raised from the Ferry Project Fashion Show will go towards helping the homeless.
