Story
Every mile helps provide free period products to people who need them across Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire
On race day in Bedford, you’ll see bib numbers, trainers, and determined faces—but behind Girl Pack, you’ll find something bigger than a finish time. You’ll find a group of women and girls choosing to show up for themselves, for each other, and for the girls who are still waiting for someone to tell them: you belong here.
Girl Pack supports period dignity by supplying free emergency period packs and period products to those who need them across Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire. We work to make sure nobody has to choose between essentials and period care—and that having a period is never a barrier to school, work, sport, or everyday life.
That’s why we’re fundraising at the Bedford Running Festival. Running is simple and powerful: one foot in front of the other, together. Every training run, every early alarm, every tough hill is a reminder that progress is made in small steps—and that nobody has to do it alone.
Your donation will help us buy and distribute period products—packs, pads, tampons and other essentials—so they can be provided free at the point of need. It also helps with the practical costs of getting products into the community: storage, packing, and keeping our local drop-off and pick-up points stocked across Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire.
When you sponsor a Girl Pack runner, you’re not just backing a race entry—you’re backing a girl’s belief in herself. You’re saying: keep going. If you can, please donate and share our fundraiser. Let’s make Bedford Running Festival more than a weekend of medals—let’s make it a moment that helps girls find their voice, their confidence, and their pack.
