The aim of the 'girls ALIVE reach OUT' campaign is to reach those groups currently under-represented in sports participation and provide accessible, female-only, non-competitive activities that support physical and mental health; engaging local volunteers and community groups to understand specific barriers to sports participation and to deliver tailored, empowering experiences, developed at a local level.

The girls ALIVE reach OUT fund pays for programs that specifically target women from minority ethnic communities, older women and those from lower socio-economic groups.

Often sport reflects and magnifies inequalities that exist in our society. Let's use it's unique power to target where it is needed most, to redress the balance and bring greater equality to our society.

Our current projects include

Swimming lessons for women from the British Asian community who require enhanced privacy in order to access swimming. Imagine you are a woman who loves the water yet you don't swim because the environment you need simply does not exist. We are working to remove barriers.

In Reigate, we are working with inspirational Ukrainian dance teacher, Anastasiia, to bring local women and Ukrainian women together. The aim of the classes is to provide fun activity, connect communities and support integration into local life.

The funds you raise have life changing impacts, not just on the women who directly benefit but on their families, communities and our local culture too.

We have further projects in mind to tackle loneliness and inactivity among older women as well as further swimming projects. We need your support to fund these important programs.
