I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for girls ALIVE to change lives and tackle inequality through the power of community sport. girls ALIVE improves health, confidence and wellbeing through community sport and volunteering for women of all ages and abilities. The aim of the 'girls ALIVE reach OUT' campaign is to reach those groups currently under-represented in sports participation and provide accessible, female-only, non-competitive activities that support physical and mental health; engaging local volunteers and community groups to understand specific barriers and to deliver tailored, empowering experiences, developed at a local level. Often sport reflects and magnifies inequalities that exist in our society. Let's use it's unique power to target where it is needed most, to redress the balance and bring greater equality to our society. Thank you in advance for supporting me and my chosen charity.
