She struggles to leave her home. School feels overwhelming. She doesn’t believe in herself or her future.

But with the right support, everything can change.

Help us fundraise for girls and young women across the North East and support the life changing work of NE Youth.

Growing up should be a time of possibility. But for many girls in our region, it can be a time of challenge, uncertainty, and isolation. Inequality, poor mental wellbeing, low confidence, and limited opportunities can shape life chances from an early age.

NE Youth provides safe spaces, mentoring, and trusted adult support that help young women build confidence, improve their wellbeing, and develop the skills they need to shape their futures. Having someone who listens, believes in you, and supports you consistently can be life-changing.

Through programmes like Healing Hearts and Minds, young women who once struggled to leave their homes begin travelling independently, returning to education, gaining employment, and rebuilding their confidence.

This kind of support creates powerful protective factors, building resilience, strengthening mental health, improving engagement with education, and helping young women develop independence and hope for the future.

This March, in support of International Women’s Day 2026 and the theme Give to Gain, help us raise £5,000 to expand NE Youth’s work with girls and young women across the North East.
