💜 Why I’m Fundraising for Girls and Young Women in the North East
A teenage girl walks into a youth session for the first time.
She’s anxious. Quiet. Unsure where she belongs.
She struggles to leave her home. School feels overwhelming. She doesn’t believe in herself or her future.
But with the right support, everything can change.
This is why I’m fundraising for girls and young women across the North East and why I’m supporting the life-changing work of NE Youth.
Growing up should be a time of possibility. But for many girls in our region, it can be a time of challenge, uncertainty, and isolation. Inequality, poor mental wellbeing, low confidence, and limited opportunities can shape life chances from an early age.
This March, in support of International Women’s Day 2026 and the theme Give to Gain, I’m helping raise £5,000 to expand NE Youth’s work with girls and young women across the North East.
If you can, please support this fundraiser. Every donation helps.
