The Gajanan Maharaj UK Parivar Trust (GMUKPT) is a UK-registered charitable organisation formed by a group of dedicated followers of Sant Shree Gajanan Maharaj. The primary aim of establishing the trust was to formalise and streamline its charitable activities, ensuring better transparency, governance, and accountability. The trust’s core mission is to unite devotees under the name Shree Gajanan Maharaj UK Bhakt Parivar to worship and follow the teachings of their beloved Guru (Mauli) while also engaging in various community and spiritual services. As GMUKPT continuing to grow rapidly, its primary focus is to provide a strong, supportive platform for devotees to engage spiritually, socially, and culturally. The trust also aims to further its charitable work, expanding the bhakta parivar through local volunteer groups across the UK to extend the reach of its activities and mission.

Story

🌺 **Jay Gajanan** 🙏

With the divine blessings of Sant Shri Gajanan Maharaj, GMUKPT humbly continues to preserve and promote the sacred cultural and spiritual traditions of Maharashtra, India, on the soil of the United Kingdom. Through our unique initiative, we strive to recreate the holy essence of the **Wari** by undertaking devotional treks across the revered mountain peaks of the UK, combining bhakti (devotion), seva (service), and physical well-being.

🌄 Our Sacred Journey of wari so far

• 🌄 **2024:** GMUKPT organised a sacred Wari to Snowdonia Peak, where 16 devoted participants undertook this spiritual journey.

• 🏔️ **2025:** The yatra reached new heights at Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the UK, with 16 adults and 4 children participating, reflecting a growing spirit of devotion across generations.

In 2026, with divine inspiration and growing community support, GMUKPT is organising a trek to the third-highest peak in the UK, aiming for our largest participation yet, with around 50 devotees, including nearly **10 children and multiple families** walking together in faith and unity. 🌄

In 2022, the Trust received a sacred divine calling—to establish the **first-ever Gajanan Maharaj temple in the UK**, a sacred abode dedicated to bhakti, culture, and community harmony. 🛕 This temple will stand as spiritual home for devotees of Sant Shree Gajanan Maharaj and Vitthal-Rakhumai.

🚩 Guiding Wisdom

Guided by the teachings of Sant Shri Gajanan Maharaj:

|| पहिली संपत्ती शरीर | दुसरे ते घरदार | तिसरीचा तो प्रकार | आहे धनमानाचा ||

— reminding us that *health is the greatest wealth*, our devotees embrace these treks as both spiritual साधना and a commitment to holistic well-being.

During the Wari, devotees carry with utmost श्रद्धा (reverence):

• 👣 Shri Gajanan Maharaj Paduka

• 🙏 Shri Vitthal–Rakhumai Murtis

• 🌿 Tulasi Vrindavan

• 🚩 Saffron Dhwaj & the Indian Tricolour

🔥 These journeys are not merely treks—they are profound tests of physical endurance, mental strength, and unwavering faith. For many, it is their first trekking experience, transformed into a deeply spiritual offering and a step towards temple seva.

💰 Through divine grace and the heartfelt generosity of devotees worldwide, these Wari initiatives also serve as fundraising efforts for the temple project:

• 2024: £11,659 raised + Gift-aid

• 2025: £15,251 raised + Gift-aid

With your continued blessings, we aspire to surpass these milestones in 2026 and move closer to manifesting this sacred vision.

🛕 This is not just an appeal for donation, but a heartfelt invitation to become part of a divine mission—to build a spiritual home for our beloved Gajanan Maharaj in the UK.

🙏 Let your faith lay the foundation.

🙏 Let your seva build the sanctum.

🕉️ Every pound is a prayer. Every offering is a blessing.

With deep gratitude and devotion,

🌼 **GMUKPT Parivar** 🌼
