🌺 Jay Gajanan 🙏

My name is Tanush Khanzode, and I’m 7 years old, currently in Year 2. My dream is to become a cricketer or footballer - I love both! But right now, I’m doing something really special.

🏔️ I’m climbing Scafell Pike — the 3rd highest peak in the UK!

And I’m doing it to raise money for the temple of Sant Shri Gajanan Maharaj in the UK, a great saint from Maharashtra, India.

Shri Gajanan Maharaj taught everyone about yoga, kindness, seva, and humanity — and I want to follow those teachings too.

🙏 Why This Trek Matters to Me

My parents and I take part in many charitable events organised by GMUKPT, a wonderful organisation formed by followers of Shri Gajanan Maharaj.

I love helping out, and this time, I wanted to do something brave and meaningful.

So… I decided to climb a mountain with my cousin Shreyas, my family and friends at GMUKPT! I missed it last year when they trekked to Ben Nevis, but not this time 🙂. All the money I raise, will go towards supporting the temple and the good work done by GMUKPT.

🥾 My Trekking Preparation So Far

I have already started my preparation a month back. I am going on regular walks, nearby trails at Newbold country park, Leamington Spa.

Couple of weeks back, I went to Box Hill, Surrey.

I walked 8 miles in 4.5 hours!

My legs were tired, but I felt proud — like a real little trekker.

I am continuing my training post that.

🏔️ Scafell Pike, Here I Come!

This is my biggest challenge yet.

It’s tall, rocky, and super steep — but I’m ready.

I want to climb with courage, kindness, and the teachings of Shri Gajanan Maharaj in my heart.
